The Low Bar Chorale is a twice-a-month drop-in alt/indie sing-along extravaganza with a live band of rotating musicians from Blind Pilot to Brandi Carlisle’s band, where no one cares what you sound like. We've sung over 200 alt-indie, pop and rock songs in venues and stages all over Portland. We welcome no experience and no commitments, it’s a perfect for anyone from show choir megastars to the “karaoke scares the heck out of me” crowd.

We are resuming live, outdoor, in-person sing-alongs after over a year of regular virtual events and producing special "Virtual Chorale" videos featuring as many as 250 singers from 15 countries. So whether you come see us live or sing along from home, you can still be a part of this incredible community of song and fun.
The Low Bar Chorale was jointly founded by Music Director/Producer Ben Landsverk and Impresaria/Producer Kate Sokoloff.
