On June 29, 2016, a panel at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Beaverton addressed, in general, how corporate money influences policy in Oregon. The presentation, titled "Dirty Energy, Dirty Money" specifically looked at how out-of-state oil companies and their allies try to influence lawmakers to defeat clean energy policies. Common Cause Oregon leads off with a report on which politicians in Oregon received the most money from corporations least friendly to the environment, and how those politicians voted on clean energy. Panelists included Daniel Lewkow--Political Director of Common Cause Oregon, David Delk--President of Alliance for Democracy, Nick Abraham--Editor of Oil Check NW, and Angela Crowley-Koch--Government Relations Director of The Oregon Environmental Council. The panel was facilitated by Amira Streeter, Chair of the Columbia Network of the Sierra Club.
