Homelessness, including senior homelessness, is a tragic and growing issue plaguing our country, and found right here in Vancouver, but, what can a person do? Beloved neighbor and customer of many years, 81 years old and 80 pound Loretta Ann Shaw walked into Andrew Stewart's Plaid Pantry shaking and blue from hypothermia. Learning she lost her home and was living in her car, Andrew leapt into action, securing not just Loretta's immediate warmth and safety, but a permanent home. On the way the two helped other homeless people and are planning to do much more. Andrew will insist he is no hero, just a Plaid Pantry manager helping a neighbor, not a social worker, a politician, or a wealthy man, so how did he do it? Listen with us and be inspired.
