"WEAVING AND MENDING THE FABRIC OF OUR CIVIL SOCIETY" John Jones has been a friend with environmentalists and those who see the forest as a resource to be farmed. He served in Northern Ireland as a Brethren Volunteer Service worker, where he met his wife, Margaret. Together they served 30 years as Managers of Camp Myrtlewood, near Bridge, Oregon.         In this series of two “Brethren Voices” programs, John shares his feelings about the importance of remembering who, are, our neighbors. “There is a real danger of our own social fabric being ripped apart.“ John states, I believe it’s the responsibility of each one of us to make sure it isn’t. The key to that, is not to forget who are neighbor is.”         In a quiz, designed similar to the “Questionert,” of CBS’s Steven Colbert’s, Late Night TV Show,   “Brethren Voices,” Host, Brent Carlson presents questions to John Jones, such as: “If you were given an all-expense-paid-trip,” where would you go?    Another question was: “It’s 2024, what is one thing that scares you the most?” John Jones turns the table on Brent Carlson, asking him to reply to the same questions. John Jones shares his thoughts about Camp Myrtlewood’s preservation goal, of nurturing and protecting its Douglas Fir Forest to an age of 7 generations, over 400 years. Mike Stern provides the theme music, One World.” Nearly 200 Brethren Voices programs may be viewed on WWW.YouTube.com/Brethrenvoices. "A Day In the Life of a Humpback Whale, Maui , Hawaii shared the observations of Captain & Naturalist, Emma Nelson of Ultimate Whale Watch & Snorkel, Lahaina, Maui Hawaii.
