Mona resides in Los Angeles, Calif., pursing her career as a comedian and actor while developing her upcoming One-Hour Special and Comedy TV series. Mona can be seen all around Los Angeles in such places as The Comedy Store, Flappers Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory, Ice House Pasadena, Hollywood Improv and many more. Recently, Mona hosted the Hollywood Improv for Comedy Juice night with Dane Cook. She became the first Pakistani female Comedian to be selected for the Laugh’s Factory Funniest Person in the World Competition. She also made history by becoming the first Pakistani female Comedian to headline Hollywood Improv. Mona was most recently featured in Newsweek, The Guardian, LA Weekly, New York Post, Huffington Post, Washington Post and BBC. Mona recently headlined The Real Flava Comedy Club in Dubai and a show in Lisbon, Portugal.
She recently got her own show and again made history at The World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles called Minority Reportz with a launch of sold-out shows. Be on the look out for Mona Shaikh coming to a stage, radio and television near you.

This highly curated festival aims to showcase a broad range of styles and perspectives among women in comedy while guaranteeing that every show – and every performer – delivers top notch comedy.
Curious Comedy Theater, a non-profit comedy theater in Portland, Oregon, is proud to produce this all-women comedy festival now heading into its sixth year. The festival takes place in early fall each year in Portland and has plans to tour the Best of the Fest around the country and globe.
Today, women still represent only 17-19% of the comedy industry. Women are sorely under-represented in high profile comedy festivals, in writing rooms and in television appearances. Industry representatives explain this discrepancy by claiming quality women comedians are hard to find. All Jane was created to help bridge the gap between women comedians, audiences and industry decision-makers.
