Anybody who's watched a documentary or an episode of reality television knows that editing can be used to influence the impression and opinions of viewers—as well as to inform and motivate them; the footage you take out can be just as influential as what you leave in. Learn how different editing techniques can change the style of your film.

Introductory: Aimed at novice media makers with some prior knowledge of media production, Introductory classes move at a pace for learners who are new to the field of media but already have a basic understanding of the concepts in the class description.
Recommended Prior Experience: If you have never edited a video before, we recommend taking our Intro to Editing: Final Cut Pro X workshop prior to enrolling in this course. We also recommend having introductory-level editing experience and a general understanding of importing and exporting, cut types, transitions and timeline, as well as an understanding of story development.
Certification: This workshop will certify you to reserve a MacBook Pro laptop that comes with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Creative Cloud. You will also be able to borrow our hard drives and submit videos to our channels!
