Intermediate Cinematography: Canon C100 MKII

In this six-session class, you’ll dig deeper into the importance of visual storytelling with Open Signal’s Canon C100 MK II cameras. You’ll create a short film as a crew with Open Signal’s field production equipment, including our lights and audio gear, and you’ll learn how to use the Canon C100’s histogram and waveform monitors. You’ll also practice how to position the camera’s face-tracking auto-focus and shoot slow-motion video.

This class is part of our Video Production track. Learn more about our Media Education tracks here.

Recommended Prior Experience: We recommend taking our Intro to Cinematography: JVC 600 or having intermediate experience with DSLR cameras or other comparable cameras before taking this class.  Students should have a basic understanding of camera operation, exposure framing and production roles before taking this course.

Intermediate: These workshops are suitable for students who have worked with the equipment or software before but want to brush up on their knowledge and take things a step further. Intermediate classes review basic concepts and move at a quicker pace, allowing for time to explore more concepts.

Certification: This workshop will certify you to check out our Canon C100MKII cameras, Lens Ring Lights, Velvet and Flo LED field lights, video monitors and dolly. It also lets you submit videos to our TV channels!
