Advanced Field Production Jib

Take your production up a notch! With a Production Jib, a camera operator can easily add 7' of vertical camera lift, an arm length of 4' and support cameras up to 50 pounds. It offers a wide range of camera movement—allowing you to get extreme high and low angle shots, float over obstacles and unique perspectives to create viewer interest. It can also quickly frame up the camera into an infinite number of angles for still shots, saving production time.

Note:  In order to check out the jib after the class is over, a station wagon, SUV or small van (and a friend) is suggested for safe transport!

Recommended Prior Experience: We recommend taking one of our video production courses prior to signing up for this class or having prior production experience.

This class is part of our Video Production track. Learn more about our media education tracks here.

Advanced: These workshops are intended for students who already have an in-depth understanding of the equipment and are ready for a professional or personal production. Advanced courses are immersive and move at a rapid pace, allowing time for a deep dive into the functions of the equipment and/or software. Students with no prior experience are not advised to take Advanced level courses.

Certification: This workshop will certify you to check out our Canon C100 MKII cameras, Lens Ring Lights, dolly, Velvet and Flo LED Field Lights, microphones and field monitors. It also lets you submit videos to our TV channels!
