Whether it's recording an interview in a loud environment, setting up a multichannel audio recordings or knowing which microphone to use in a given situation, this class will teach you how to properly record audio in any setting. Additionally, you will learn how to use Open Signal's voice-over booth, and you will have the chance to record sound effects for Open Signal's library.
Recommended Prior Experience: We recommend taking HD Camera Basics, Intro and Intermediate camera classes first, or having intermediate knowledge of a comparable camera and field equipment. Students should be proficient in camera operation, exposure, framing and production roles before taking this one.
Advanced: These workshops are intended for students who already have an in-depth understanding of the equipment and are ready for a professional or personal production. Advanced courses are immersive and move at a rapid pace, allowing time for a deep dive into the functions of the equipment and/or software. Students with no prior experience are not advised to take Advanced level courses.
Certification: This class will certify you to check out our Zoom 8 recorder, and all microphone types.
